A Frog Named Toulouse
Just a few reviews:
5 out of 5 stars An enchantment!
Oh, what a magical book this is! Utterly adorable! I fell in love with that froggie, and also the chef with the funky hair, who sees the error of his ways. I derived much pleasure from reading the book and enjoying the poetry, the glorious illustrations, and the sweetness. I have a little recipient in mind, who will be enchanted by this book. But I must confess that this toddler of a certain age was mightily beguiled. 5 out of 5 stars A work of art and an arrow to the heart.

I bought this book to read to my grandchildren. They love it, and it's their favourite of the many books that they have. Wendy Little has given us a classic. An absolute gem. 5 out of 5 stars A really fun book to read out loud. It's a magical world with a loving theme and Little's illustrations are phenomenal. A must-have for any library.

A Frog Named Toulouse is bound to tickle a child’s funny bone. It’s charming and silly, and the plot’s twists and turns will appeal to a little one’s sense of humor, while grownups will appreciate the puns. With illustrations that are large, colorful, and imbued with the same sort of wit as the rhyming verses with which the tale is told, the author has captured the antics of an imperiled frog and the French chef intent on turning him into a soup or a stew. 5 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Story With Beautiful Illustrations!
This is the second gift for a grandniece. (The other one loved this story so much, I knew it would be a hit!) AND, I once knew a bird named Toulouse!
Toulouse has a hunch Chef might want him for lunch! Toulouse the Frog is hopping along when he encounters a chef who wants to use his legs for a stew. Oh dear!See what happens when Toulouse tries to convince Chef not to use him as an ingredient in his dish. A delightfully fun book to read aloud!
